. POWERS AND ABILITIES .
• PRECOGNITION - precognition is the power and/or ability of foresight meaning those with this power can see the future and on the rare occasion make a prophecy. people are born with this and it normally runs in families the rare occasion however comes where someone is born with this power with no seer blood in their family.
• RETROCOGNITION - retrocognition is the power and/or ability that is the opposite to precognition. where as those with precognition can see the future, those with the power of retrocognition can see the past, either in dreams, out of the blue or by touching someone or something. people are born with this gift and it runs in both family lines and just pops up on random.
• TELEPATHY - telepathy is power and/or ability that allows people to talk through a mental link and/or read minds. people with this power can rarely speak and hear through the mind at the same time its usually one or the other. this gift is normally spontaneous, but can run in blood lines.
• EMPATHY - empathy is the power and/or ability that allows on to feel others emotions around them. on rare occasions these people can influence/manipulate emotions. this gift normally appears in those who are observant.
• PYROKENISIS - pyrokenisis or pyrokenetics is the power and/or ability that allows one to manipulate and/or summon and control fire. manipulation of fire means the person has to have a fire source at hand, summoning means the witch or wizard is powerful and can conjure it from thin air. this gift normally varies and you must be on a higher level to conjure it, lower levels can only manipulate. in time though lower levels may progress and become more powerful. higher level witches and wizards in this power must be expirienced meaning well aged.
• HYDROKENISIS - hydrokenisis or hydrokenetics is the power and/or ability that allows one to manipulate and/or summon and control water. manipulation meaning person must have a water source at hand, summoning meaning the witch or wizard is powerful and can conjure it from thin air. this gift normally vaires and you must be on a higher level to conjure it, lower levels can only manipulate. in time though lower levels may progress and become more powerful. higher level witches and wizards in this power must be expirienced meaning well aged.
• AEROKENISIS - aerokenisis or aerokenetics is the power and/or ability that allows one to manipulate and/or summon and control air. manipulation meaning they have a air source at hand, summoning meaning the witch or wizard is powerful and can conjure it from no where. the gift normally vaires and you must be a higher level to conjure it. lower levels can only manipulate. in time though lower levels may progress and become more powerful. higher levels of witches and wizards in this power must be expirienced meaning well aged. although being air is always around this is one of those powers that takes little effort and just a moderate ammount of time and training.
• GEOKENISIS - geokenisis or geokenetics is the power and/or ability that allows one to manipulate and/or summon and control the earth. manipulation meaning they have a earth source at hand, summoning meaning the witch or wizard is powerful and can conjure it from no where. the gift normally varies and you must be a highter level to conjure it, lower levels can only manipulate. in time though lower levels may progress and become more powerful higher levels of witches and wizards in this power must be expirienced meaning well aged.
• PSYCHOKENISIS - psychokenisis or psychokenetics is the power and/or ability that allows one to move objects with thier mind. this gift normally varies and the more skilled and/or aged you are the bigger the objects are that you can move. people knew to this gift cant do very much. however with time lower levels can progress and become more powerful.
• ANIMAGUS - animagus' are people who can turn into an animal. from magical creatures to everyday creatures. however magical creatures are much more rare and are few and far. common everyday creatures however are more seen. this skill can be in a blood line, it can show up spontaneously in one, it can also be learned. its takes a few years though to get the transformation down though when learning. forms must be registered. you don't have to but the cost of getting caught as an unregistered animagus is either a fine from the ministry of magic and/or time in azkaban along with the registration of your name, what you become and any markings or special traits known to your form that can identify you.
• METAMORPHAGUS - metamorphagus' are people who can change their appearances at will. however witches and wizards are only born with this trait either spontaneously or by bloodline, it cannot be learned. there is no need to register with the ministry for this because quite frankly that would be useless as the changes you can do are unlimited.
• PARSTLEMOUTH - parstletoungues or parstlemouths are people who can talk to snakes. this gift is rare and more common in the bloodline decending from salazar slytherin. one of the four founders of hogwarts. even though some people can mimick the language they cannot understand what snakes say if they spoke to them.
• OCCLUMENCY - occlumency is the art of magically defending the mind against external penetration, sealing it against magical intrusion and influence - the defensive counter to legilimency. a practitioner of occlumency is referred to as an occlumens. occlumency is a necessary prerequisite to defeat a legilimens' lie-detector abilities without suspicious behaviour such as avoiding face-to-face contact and eye contact. elementary occlumency involves clearing the mind of thought and emotion, so that the legilimens can find no emotional ties to memories that the target wishes to conceal. in its more advanced form, occlumency allows the user to suppress only feelings and memories that contradict what the user wishes a legilimens to believe, thus allowing the occlumens to lie without self-betrayal.
• LEGILIMENCY - legilimency, a branch of magic not normally taught at hogwarts (at least, not at ordinary wizarding level) is the ability to extract emotions and memories from another person's mind. although the word literally translates as 'mind-reading', this is considered a naive interpretation of the art by its practitioners. Ssomeone who practices legilimency is known as a legilimens. legilimency is easier when the spell-caster is physically near the target, and when the target is off-guard, relaxed, or otherwise vulnerable. eye contact is often essential, so it is useful for a legilimens to verbally manipulate his or her target into meeting the legilimens' eyes, with the fringe benefit that the target's emotional state may bring relevant associated memories to the surface.
