All around the library are thousands, if not millions of book waiting to be picked up once more by an eager student or and thurst learning adult. In Hogwart's great library, you will find many books on spells that can be both useful and enjoying to perform amoung your peers and relatives.

However, you are a curious person if you have picked up Professor Dumbledore's custom book of spells Encyclopedia. Long ago, when Dumbledore was only a professor at Hgowarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he felt that an encyclopedia of uncommon and custom made spells would be quite a useful series of books to have in Hogwarts. For this, he has bought and dedicated a whole shelf full of dozens of books on custom spells both students and professors have made over the last couple of centuries, and has placed them all in his encyclopedia.

Although the Ministry has decreatly told him to no place and spells which has not been approved by the Council, Dumbledore has reminded them that Hogwarts is an academic place, and that no spell is placed in his book without proper testings of multiple experts in the science of magic. These Spells also do not contain and sort of dark magic which is directly performs to hex or harm another human being puposefully.

So his volumes sit on his shelves for all his students to learn and prosper. He has also added a few white pages on the back for students to write down their own spells. The ink bleeds into the book and suddendly dissapear sthrough site. If it is approved by Dumbledore, you will see the spell reveal itself in the correct location in his volumes. If not, well, you waisted your time pretty much trying to promote your spell.

So if you are adventurous enough, and would like to make a new spell, please follow the guidelines written below. An Adminstrator will get to you... (continue later)

There are thousands of spells out there in the wizarding world, and even more right under this board. By reading here, you will find spells that are made by others on this site for your usage. However, note that not all spells here are kind, and can be very risky to try out if you don't know quite know how to use the.

Some of these spells are dark magic too, so it is not recommended to try them out. The Ministry looks down upon those who use dark magic, for those wizards and witches tend to live to dreadful lives.

Please do not make spells that can only be used by your character. There is no point in putting a spell up for the public to see if no one can use it

And finally, these spells can also be dangerous. Some of them could even kill you! So in other words, USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK! Spells that can harm you are listed below.

Spell Type: "Elevamo!"

Cast: "Elevamo!" your feet turn a faded purple color, and slightly stiff.
Effects: A soft purple spark comes out of your wand when casted. By casting this spell toward your feet or any other body part, you allow your self to walk on walls,ceilings, or anything that you normally can not walk on while youare sideways or upside down.
Risks: Some risks are being stuck where you are. You can also fall off from the ceiling if the spell is not properly said or done.

Spell Name: (Accendo Excetra)
Spell Type: Dark Arts
Cast: You say Accendo Excetra and make a small circular motion with the wand and then thrust forward.
Effects: An ethereal snake that is there, but not at the same time. The only thing you know is truly real are the flames surrounding it. The effects are the snake can wrap around the victim and crush the life out of them, burn them alive, or just cause minor or major burns at the whim of the user. It is also a way to restrain someone, but it will still burn the person in this situation only minor burns however. This requires great control because of the fact it unlike most spells that can be used to restrain someone it requires constant focus. It will last a total of ten seconds after it is released.
Risks:The Risk are hitting those who are not actual targets because of lack of control

Spell Name: Occulipus Noxas
Spell Type: Hex or Jink
Cast: Occulipus Noxas is said and then the wand is brought down, straight down.
Effects: A smokescreen appears above the intended target or targets and slowly descends towards them. This smokescreen will knock those in its mist unconscious if they remain in its midst for more then twenty seconds. It is escapable, but it makes an excellent surprise attack in a closed in room.
Risks: Knocking oneself out if the smokescreen is somehow blown back at you

Spell Name: Disferance Darkeriam
Spell Type: Counter Spell
Cast: Disferance Darkeriam is chanted over and over again
Effects: It is a counter spell that is able to counter most minor dark art spells. It won't stop one coming towards you, but it can end the effects of one. If its a very powerful form of the Dark Arts the effects can be lessened, but only be a quarter of potency.
Risks: If said incorrectly it will cause more damage

Spell Name: Tragedary Endarey
Spell Type: Counter Hex
Cast: You say Tragedary Endarey and slowly move your hands over the body of the person afflicted with the Teliculim Maximum curse.
Effects: The one who this counter hex is used on is saved from the effects of Teliculim Maximum if it is used in time.
Risks: If used to late it will afflict the healer with the curse that they originally sought out to stop.

Spell Name: Tapaderar Spell
Spell Type: Charm

Effects: (A blue translutant color comes out of the wand. It is used on paintinngs to either prevent a person (in the painting) from leaving or entering. Many witches and wizard use this so that they can have a private conversation themselves. As far as punishments, there are none involved.
Risks: Some paintings have been known block or freeze the person in the painting forever. However, it is a rare thing to do.

Cast: You Say "Cantare Arde" & do the wand action A circle then with a backward motionof the arm you send the spell forward
Effects: What comes out of the wand is a burst of hot flames that surround the target and voice the sounds of many phoenix's singing loudly. The sound although pleasant can be deafening. There is no punishment of using this spell. Only the one who conjure the spell may stop it.
Counter: "Fiamme silenziose"
Risks: No there are no risk to the one conjuring the spell - however the targeted one can be left hard of hearing with the sound of ringing in the ear for several days.

Public Eye: It is to the public eye, but usually known only to the French Wizarding World.
Punishment: Very dangerous, and not recommended to use. There is a chance you can go straight to Azkaban for it. However, the longest tern for anyone going there without killing them was a week.

Level: Hard
Cast: étranglez!
Effects: The spell can not be seen. You know it is working if the person is dramatically being choke out of thin air. This spell eventially leads to death if you hold it too long.

Risks: There is a chance the victim could die from the attack.

Effects: A teal color smoke comes out of your wand an into the person's nose. With this, you are able to see or alter the dream they are having. Some wizards, if they are strong enough, can even enter the dream and torment them. Some have also used this power to help them through comas. These type of people also use the spell to warn them about what is to come.
Counter: Occulemency
Risks: Some people have been known be get stuck in the dream by accident, but this is a rare case.

Public Eye: A lot of people are aware of it, but few can actually do it.

Spell Name: The Soothing charm
Spell Type: Charm
Cast: The user says peace and points their wand at the intended target (Either an animal or person)
Effects: A warm beam of light blue leaves the wand and wraps around the target before it melts into their skin. It gives them a soothing feeling and rides them of any aggression, but it doesn't last very long. Its a great way to calm down a heated argument or a way to catch an opponent off guard during a duel. It is best for the user to have a neutral emotion when casting this spell or at least to focus on a neutral or happy thought. It can be broken by a strong willed victim however.
Counter: Protego and The War Cry Charm
Risks: If the user is to emotional at the moment or has an over powering negative emotion this charm will simply makes things worse and increase hostilities. The user is vulnerable because they can not break their concentration or it will end.[/color]

Alignment: Light Spell
Public Eye: Not very many

Spell Name: The Bliss Charm
Spell Type: Charm
Cast: If a wand is used it is moved in a circular motion pointed upward, arm extended completely upward and the circle must be wide. The finishing touch is making a flinging motion with the wand. If it is wandless then the user does the same, but with their hand instead of the wand.
Effects: This is a wordless charm. Unlike most charms it is actually stronger when there is no word or wand involved which is why it is a very hard and neglected charm. The effects are much like its weaker counter part The Soothing Charm. There is a radiant and warm light high above all those below. This charm can be selective and focused on a certain emotion or it can be have a far more general range. It calms all those it touches and last much longer then its weaker counter part. It is usually used to bring peace during the midst of a battle so that there might be a treaty signed or a simultaneous retreat. The user must be pure of heart to use this and have more positive emotions then negative at that moment.
Counter: Protego, The Battle Raged Siren Charm
Risks: It could not work at all or possible cause the ones it affects to become angrier then before. The user is vulnerable because they can not break their concentration or it will end.[/color]
